What is a Bucket Hood?
A Bucket Hood is a soft drawstring cover made to help separate a hockey helmet and visor from hard or abrasive items while the helmet is stored or carried inside a gear bag.
How do I use it?
Slide the helmet visor-first into the crown of the cover. The rear of the helmet should meet the gathered opening. Pull the drawstrings to close the opening, then place the covered helmet in a stable part of your bag.
Does it fit junior and senior hockey helmets?
Yes. The Bucket Hood is designed to fit both junior and senior hockey helmets.
Will it fit a helmet with a visor?
Yes. It is designed to fit hockey helmets equipped with a visor.
Will it fit a helmet with a cage?
Yes. It is also designed to fit hockey helmets equipped with a cage.
Are there any helmets it does not fit?
Fit has been verified with junior and senior hockey helmets fitted with visors and cages. Because helmet shapes and attachments can vary, contact us at info@buckethoods.com if you have an unusual setup and want to check before ordering.
Does it guarantee that my helmet or visor will not be scratched?
No cover can guarantee that equipment will remain damage-free. A Bucket Hood creates a soft fabric barrier that helps reduce direct contact with the other items in your bag. Pack the helmet in a stable position and avoid placing heavy or sharp equipment directly against it.
Is it protective equipment?
No. The Bucket Hood is intended for storage and travel. It is not protective equipment, is not designed to absorb impacts, and should never be worn during play.

What is it made from?
The Bucket Hood is made from 100% polyester.
What colour is it?
The current Bucket Hood is black with white drawstrings.
How much does it weigh?
The product weighs 170 g before shipping materials are added.
How large is it when folded?
Its approximate folded size is 14 × 9 in. Because it is a flexible fabric cover, it can be folded smaller for packing.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash with like colours and tumble dry low.
Can I put it over a wet helmet?
Air out and dry your helmet before covering it for storage. After a game or practice, remove damp equipment from the bag and allow both the helmet and cover to dry before repacking them.
Where is it made?
The current Bucket Hood is manufactured in China and ships from Canada.
What comes in the package?
Each standard product package contains one Bucket Hood. A helmet, visor, cage, and other equipment are not included.

How long will delivery take?

What is the return policy?
You may request a return within 30 days of receiving your item. To be eligible, it must be unworn or unused, with any tags, in its original packaging, and accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase.
How do I start a return?
Email info@buckethoods.com before sending anything back. If the return is accepted, we will provide instructions and the return address. Items returned without a prior request will not be accepted.
Who pays for return shipping?
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, and original shipping charges are non-refundable. If an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, Bucket Hoods will cover the return shipping cost.
What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
Inspect your order when it arrives and contact us promptly at info@buckethoods.com if the item is defective or damaged, or if you received the wrong item. We will evaluate the issue and work to make it right.
Can I exchange an item?
The fastest way to get a different item is to return the item you have and, once the return is accepted, place a separate order.
